Return of Beast Mode

Since my GPS watch was dead and I also didn’t feel like falling on my face, I decided to start training for the Empire State Building run (6 weeks from today). My stairs only go 12 stories (well, 13 but they start on 1) so I ran up (not down, too dangerous) 8 times to see where my pace is before I start pushing myself in training. Apparently it takes me about 75 seconds to run up 12 stories (and still 75 seconds the 8th time). Now, there will be no “elevator back down” breaks on the ESB run, but if I train every weds, I can probably run that giant building in about 15 minutes, what with the slow down for oxygen deprivation and all.
